What is Share Quote Cart?
Share Quote Cart is a WooCommerce plugin that generates shareable links from a customer’s cart contents. When someone clicks the link, the same products (with quantities and variations) are loaded into their cart automatically.
Use Cases
B2B Procurement - Purchasing managers build a cart, share the link with their approver, and the approver checks out. No need to re-enter every product and quantity.
Quote Requests - Customers build a cart and share it with the store owner as a quote request. The store owner can adjust pricing and send back a modified cart link.
Wishlists and Recommendations - Customers share curated product selections with friends or colleagues through a simple link.
How It Works
The plugin serializes the current cart state into a compressed, URL-safe token. When the recipient visits the link, the token is decoded and the cart is reconstructed. Product availability and pricing are validated at load time, so stale links show current prices and stock status.
